The location was absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by the stunning Scafell Pikes and the picturesque Wast Water. It was a perfect escape from the crowded tourist spots. the accommodations were cozy and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us detailed instructions and tips for our activities in the area.
the cottage lacked some basic facilities that we were expecting. we found the surrounding area to be quite isolated, which made it difficult to find nearby restaurants or shops.

The Old Barn is my go-to spot in Nether Wasdale. Reminds me of my first stay when the staff kindly assisted my elderly parents. With Wi-Fi, paid parking, no pets, and no smoking, it has all I need. Always return for business trips. No regrets.

We got incredible value for our money at The Old Barn. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the modern facilities we needed for a short stay. The location was perfect, in a peaceful setting surrounded by stunning nature and with great options for local walks and adventures. The staff treated us with such warmth and friendliness, making us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. We loved seeing the farm animals and the variety of birds enjoying the feeders dotted around. We can't wait to go back!
The breakfast selection could be improved with a wider variety of options.

The Old Barn in Nether Wasdale was a cozy haven for a light sleeper like me. The room was quaint and comfy, making me feel right at home. The bathroom with a bath or shower was just what I needed to unwind after a long day.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the bathroom with a shower.
